The semi-terrestrial transport, as the name says, makes one part of the trip by road and another part by sea (obviously being Island). Check up the details.
Transfer from Salvador (by micro bus or van) to the Maritime Terminal at Mercado Modelo. The journey takes about 50 minutes.
You have the option to book the transfer either from the airport or from your hotel, if you are staying in Salvador. Ideal, also, for those who live in the city.
Leaving from Salvador Maritime Terminal at Mercado Modelo, a crossing will be made by boat (public line of transport) with duration of 40 minutes to Maritime Terminal of Mar Grande, Island of Itaparica.
When you arrive in Mar Grande, you will take another bus (bus, micro-bus or van) to the Maritime Terminal of Bom Jardim (near the city of Valença). The distance is 130 km.
At the pier of Bom Jardim Maritime Terminal (Atracadouro) will be made another transhipment, this time by a speed boat to Morro de São Paulo, lasting 20 minutes, on average.
