When we say “arriving by car”, we mean actually arriving by car to a certain point because, as you already know or have read, you only arrive here, in fact, by the sea or by air.

• From São Joaquim Maritime Terminal in Salvador – Daily Ferry-Boats crossing to Itaparica (Bom Despacho Terminal) and take the road to the city of Valença through the road BA-001 on map, passing through the city of Nazaré. The distance is 109 km and takes, an average, 1 hour and 30 minutes. You can enter, also, at the Police Station crossroads (without going to Valença) by taking the direction to Guaibim and go to the direction of Maritime Terminal Bom Jardim (Atracadouro). It is 15 km from crossroads to this Maritime Terminal. It is faster and easier for those who come from Salvador. Please, consulting timetable and ferryboat prices in their website.

• By BR-324 – Enter BR-101, before arriving to the city of Feira de Santana (Itabuna direction), and continue until the city of Santo Antonio de Jesus. In Santo Antonio de Jesus, take the BA-245 to Nazaré and continue on BA-001 to Valença. Or continue on the BR-101 to the crossroads of Police Station close to Valença and enter BA-542 until you reach the city of Valença.

• Coming from the South by BR-101 – After the cities of Itabuna and Ubaiuna, at the place called Travessão, continuing along the BA-650 by 41 km to Camamu. From this point continue until the city of Valença passing through the cities of Igrapiuna, Ituberá, Nilo Peçanha and Taperoã, are more than 71 km. Or take the BR-101 to the crossroads (after the city of Presidente Tancredo Neves) and enter BA-542, until arriving in the city of Valença.

Valença is the nearest urban perimeter of Morro de São Paulo. From here the boats and speed boats leave to Morro all day (please see Maritime Way *). There are several parking there to leave your car during your stay in Morro de São Paulo, as well as in the Bom Jardim MaritimeTerminal (Atracadouro).
